How much does a 4-inch concrete slab weigh per square foot?
At 150 lb per cubic foot, a 4-inch slab weighs about 50 lb per square foot because 4 inches is one-third of a foot. Enter another density or thickness when the project assumption differs.
Can I calculate concrete weight from cubic yards?
Yes. Choose known volume, enter cubic yards or cubic meters, then select or enter the density. The calculator multiplies volume by density and converts the result to pounds, kilograms, short tons, and metric tonnes.
Does broken concrete weigh less than a solid slab?
Breaking concrete changes how much container space it occupies, but it does not remove the material mass. Haul-off weight can still change because of soil, moisture, steel, asphalt, contamination, or material left behind. Use the final scale ticket for billing.
Can this calculator approve a truck, dumpster, or crane load?
No. The payload field is only a comparison against a capacity you enter. Vehicle, axle, trailer, container, route, rigging, lifting, and structural limits require provider data and qualified review.
